It seems that the COVID19 situation is in no mood to take a halt in Mumbai. With Mumbai crossing over 50000+ cases in the city, there is no other option left except praying to God that this ends. The total number of cases in Maharashtra alone is 88528, outnumbering the total number of cases in China.
However, it is noteworthy that the total number of cases in Maharashtra is 44,374. But, with the death of 109 patients in the last 24 hours, Maharashtra’s total death score is 3,169. The positive score i.e. the total number of recovered patients is 40,975.
In the last 2 days, Maharashtra reports 32 patients dying of Coronavirus. The recovery rate of the state is 46.28% whereas the mortality rate is at 3.57%. Because of widespread COVID19 attack, 5,64,736 people are under home quarantine. Despite a total of 75,759 beds available in quarantine institutions, 26,760 people are there in such institutions.
At the end of Yesterday, the total number of cases in Mumbai stands at 50,085. There are a total of 26,345 active cases in the city. While the death score stands at 1,702. Followed by Thane with 13,528 cases. In Thane itself, the total number of active cases stands at 8,110 with 336 people dying of Corona.
There are almost 3654 active containment zones in the state. Containment zones are those areas where a cluster of Corona patients is found in the last 28 days. The state government has conducted 5,64,331 corona tests until now. Out of them, 15.68% of patients are found COVID19 positive.
With such huge numbers, Mumbai along with entire Maharashtra is among the worst-hit areas of COVID19 in the entire world. We pray for the quick recovery of all the patients undergoing treatment.
