The user smartly indicates on the well-known 1980s advertisement for Calvin Klein jeans. The ad cast out an American actress Brooke Sheilds. In the ad, a young Shields said in the tagline, “You want to know what comes in between me and my Calvins? Nothing.”

So, what is that feature that turns this underwear brand into such a coveted choice in the market? For the past 25 years, the brand has been a major hit, particularly with the desired waistband. The brand is not only well known for its quality of cloth but has also risen through the years owing to the status symbol it endorses.

Sam Diss, a style writer who wore it in the year 1990s, believed the cause behind the brand’s success was “It gave you a taste of being Mark Wahlberg without the talent or the hours in the gym.” He added, “In a decade with no real original aesthetic, it remains a much-needed piece of easy iconography to latch on to.”
