A 9-5 job at bank is not an easy one because you have to be a good player in the finance department. Working in a bank doesn’t only mean issuing passbooks and keeping a track of customer’s accounts, there is a lot more that we are not aware of.

It seems like banking professionals are soon going to be filled with joy because there is a probability that each and every bank employee who is working in a government bank or a private bank is going to get raise of 15% in their salaries. Not only this, they will be working only for 5 days per week.

This is not yet implemented, but if this plans becomes a hit, bank employees will get to have an amazing weekend as well. This proposal has been rolled out by Indian Bank’s Association and as per sources, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has already released the payroll with 15% increased income.

This has come as a relief for thousands of bank employees because they had already survived through a difficult phase during covid times, and after the lockdown the economy of India has also raised.

Also, one of the biggest change in India is that every bank is now having their own websites and applications as well. In this case, more than 70% of transaction happens using digital wallets only. Therefore, the analysis says that instead of making people work of 6 days, it can be reduced to 5 working days per week.

At present, the bank employees works on first, and third Saturdays of the month but if this proposal is accepted, they will get a holiday every Saturday which means they will be able to spend more time with their friends, family and loved ones.

Discussions are still in process and we hope that whatever decision comes out, it will be the best one!
