Good news for people of Vadodara as India’s first solar plant on a bridge will be developed on the Akota Dandiya Bazar Bridge. Energy Minister Saurab Patel has laid the foundation for country’s first ever solar plant project on a bridge.
The project which will be setup on Akota Dandiya Bazar Bridge will cost around Rs 23 crore .This solar plant will generate 3MW solar energy
This solar plant project will act as a model to other cities and states in India as it will be implemented on a later stage as a lot of solar energy will be generated from this project.
This project will be built in 11,200 sq.mts area and will take around 2 years to complete. This is a first of a kind venture in India. Vadodara currently produces 10 MW energy by setting up solar panels.
