The passenger behind all this havoc is, Muhammad John Jaiz Boudewijn, who is also a pilot for Indonesian carrier Batik Air.
The man’s nonsensical behavior left no other option but for the flight – which was supposed to be in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, on Tuesday at around 5 pm local time – to turn around above Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to make its landing at Kualanamu International Airport, Medan, Hurriyet as per the Daily News. The man was finally led out and escorted out of the plane. The Boeing 777 was then able to take off again, landing at its original destination at 8 pm local time.
“Because of the ruckus on the plane, Turkish Airlines dropped the Indonesian passenger who was injured at Kualanamu Airport, Medan,” the person speaking for Jakarta Metro Police informed.
“The Indonesian citizen who was suspected of being drunk is undergoing treatment at Kualanamu Health Clinic,” they further said.
Additionally, a different local outlet, KabarPenumpang, informed us that the situation was now being looked over by the Deli Serdang Police, which works in the Medan region.
