This Turkish Airlines flight going from Istanbul to Jakarta had no other option but to make an emergency landing post one of its passenger bit a cabin attendant’s finger.

This man is said to have been not in his senses, and high on the Jakarta-bound flight and was convinced and said to relax and cool himself down by flight attendants. But, this thing is believed to have further aggravated him leading him to bite the finger of one of the members of staff on board.

The video of the said incident is shared widely on social media platforms. The video depicts a man throwing punches at a flight attendant who was wearing plastic handcuffs. He tried to handle the man, as taken aback passengers look on. Other flight attendants were witnessed trying to calm down the surroundings.

The passenger behind all this havoc is, Muhammad John Jaiz Boudewijn, who is also a pilot for Indonesian carrier Batik Air.

The man’s nonsensical behavior left no other option but for the flight – which was supposed to be in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, on Tuesday at around 5 pm local time – to turn around above Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to make its landing at Kualanamu International Airport, Medan, Hurriyet as per the Daily News. The man was finally led out and escorted out of the plane. The Boeing 777 was then able to take off again, landing at its original destination at 8 pm local time.

“Because of the ruckus on the plane, Turkish Airlines dropped the Indonesian passenger who was injured at Kualanamu Airport, Medan,” the person speaking for Jakarta Metro Police informed.

“The Indonesian citizen who was suspected of being drunk is undergoing treatment at Kualanamu Health Clinic,” they further said.

Additionally, a different local outlet, KabarPenumpang, informed us that the situation was now being looked over by the Deli Serdang Police, which works in the Medan region.
