This cutest golden retriever had an unfortunate accident at birth that claimed her left ear and as she grew further with only her right ear, it moved to the centre of her head. Her parent, Sam, posted a video of the golden retriever named Rae on the social platform TikTok and it within no time went viral.
This is Rae. She somewhat resembles a unicorn in the dog world as she only has one ear which has moved to the top of her head.
This resulted due to an accidental injury at birth. Rae’s dog mom was acting a little too harsh post she was born leading to her left ear needing to be removed.
Immediately post it was separated and recovered, her remaining ear began moving to the top of her head.
The accident although has not at all debilitated Rae in any way. She can still hear just properly out of her remaining ear.
The paper within no time acquired the limelight due to her unique feature and people easily fell in love with her at first sight.
Rae’s mom not long ago started an Instagram account for her and Rae has acquired about 20k followers in less than a month.
Rae the one-eared golden retriever is adorable and playful as per the videos on her Instagram. She has quite several friends at a doggy daycare and enjoys playing as any puppy does.
Possessing a fully functional ear on the top of her head turns it into a very susceptible to health inspections and cleaning. Rae is merely 12 weeks old and her name goes well too. Rae is “Ear” spelt backwards! People at the animal care facility have never come across a dog like her.
