Good news for Vadodara, On 22nd October PM Modi will inaugurate the new Vadodara International Airport Terminal, A top AAI official said today.

“Construction of the new terminal building is part of the Centre’s efforts to modernise existing airports and develop them at par with international standards,” Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI), said

“The new building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 160 crore and it will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on October 22,” he told PTI.

The new international terminal which is located next to the domestic airport is of size 18,120 sq mt and have 18 check in counters. The new international terminal in Vadodara can handle around 700 passengers at a time.

International flights to neighbouring countries like Dubai and Bangkok will be available but no direct flights to US & UK will be available.

PM Modi will be visiting Baroda for the first time after assuming charge in May 2014.
