Indian-American entrepreneur and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is looking for a nanny for his sons. The 38-year-old is married to Apoorva T Ramaswamy who is a professor and physician at Ohio State University. He owns Roivant Sciences, a pharmaceutical research firm founded in 2014. But Vivek stepped down from his position as CEO of the company in early 2021 and resigned from his role as chairman in February this year. Ramaswamy’s net worth was estimated to be $1 billion in August, as per a report by Forbes.
A job listing was posted on a staffing website that looks into the requirements of ultra-rich and wealthy families, as the report said.
The ad posted on the website stated that the home offers abundant space for their two boys ages 3.5 years old and 1 year old, fostering an environment of exploration, play, and learning. With designated learning and play zones, outdoor play areas, and a serene garden, the home creates a surreal kid-centred, and enjoyable atmosphere. The job posting on EstateJobs.com reads, “An exceptional opportunity to join a high-profile family, contributing to the growth and development of their children while participating in unique family adventures.”
The posting describes the need for a candidate to work 84 to 96 hours a week with a week off. It also mentions that “the candidate will be needed to coordinate with the other house helps including a chef, housekeeper and private security to provide a seamless daily routine.” Well, the name of the recruiter is not listed but reports claim that the details mentioned in the ad posted on the website point to Vivek’s family.
The job description further mentions, “Weekly family travels, often via private flights, are a regular occurrence. The candidate will be needed to coordinate with the other house helps including a chef, housekeeper, and private security to provide a seamless daily routine.”
The 38-year-old billionaire, who has become quite popular in the last few weeks, is ready to shell out an annual salary of $100,000 (Rs 83 lakh approximately) to hire a nanny for his boys. The candidate will be eligible only if he/she is Flexible and adapts to a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. She/He should have an energetic and adventurous personality to match the children’s active lifestyle. A background in teaching, enabling the creation and execution of enriching educational experiences can be a bonus.
The ad also said that the nanny would have to prepare vegetarian meals for the children as the family is pure vegetarian. The job posting was deleted from the website after the news outlet apprised the Ramaswamy campaign that the story would be published.
