Flying To UAE? You Can No Longer Carry Ghee, Pickles & More In Your Check-In Luggage From India

As per the recently updated policies, if you are traveling from India to UAE, then you cannot have ghee and pickles in your luggage. This decision has been taken by the legal authorities.

The reason behind prohibiting these items is the probability of explosions due to the good amount of oil present in pickles and other items that can easily catch fire. Several years ago, a passenger was found carrying more than 900 dry coconuts. Coconuts have a huge percentage of oil content that can easily catch fire. Now, if you carry such things, it can become a nightmare for you.

Millions of passengers travel from India to Dubai every year for a temporary or permanent period of time but they are unaware about the rule that they cannot carry these particular food items and then get caught at the time of checking at the airport.

They are then told to remove the items from the bag. In some way, this is correct also, because it can put lots of lives in risk which is a highly dangerous thing. So, this is a good decision in a way.

Though, UAE has many shops where you can find Indian food items. So, it’s good to buy it from there and enjoy it.
