Selling a house is not an easy task especially if you stay in a country like New Zealand where the housing market is continuously dropping. This house seller made 100% use of his brain and made a strategy to attract buyers for his house. He made an offer that the buyer of his $1.8 million house will get a Tesla free along with the house. He put up an advertisement for his newly built seven-bedroom house in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city. “Brand New Tesla and Brand New Home” is what he wrote!
The owner of the seven-bedroom newly built house is offering one of Tesla’s Model Y cars to whoever cracks the deal. The buyer of the house will also get to choose the colour of their new Tesla Model Y that they will get along with the house. The luxury car buyers choose will come straight from the factory. The owners came up with this unusual idea as the country’s housing market has been continuously plummeting for the past year, with high mortgage rates many prospective buyers back off from buying the property.
The homeowners in New Zealand had been making strategic plans in the hope to stand out in this intensely competitive market, with the free Tesla car being an offer or bonus, rather than an add-on to the market value. As per a report in The Guardian, Tesla cars sold in New Zealand for about $72,400.
The Auckland property, a five-bedroom home with a two-bedroom granny flat as well as off-street parking for up to six cars, needed something special to catch the eyes of potential buyers. The housing market in New Zealand is slumping, say some recent reports. House prices were down 10.9% their biggest drop in 30 years in October and fell for 11 consecutive months. The overall volume of houses sold in October had also dropped dramatically down 34.7% compared with last year, from 7,486 to 4,892.
