Dogs, generally assumed to prevent you from any burglary, a domestic Labrador is most likely the last dog that will prevent a burglary or robbery.
While all dog owners joke about their pet dog being over-friendly, and instead of preventing the robbery, the dog just might welcome the burglar into the house, demand belly rubs from him, and play fetch instead of scaring him off on 15th July 2023 at approximately 10:40 p.m. This assumption occurred when the suspect entered a garage in the Pacific Beach neighborhood to steal a bike and ended up playing with the owner’s dog and giving him belly rubs.
The San Diego Police Department shared a video of the incident where a white man entered the garage to steal the bike. He had almost left with the bike as the golden retriever entered the garage through the back door. Seeing the dog wagging his tail instead of raising the alarm, the burglar keeps the cycle aside, starts playing with the pet dog, and gives him belly rubs saying, “I love you so much” and “You’re so cool.” After playing with the dog for a couple of minutes and giving him lots of belly rubs, the burglar leaves the garage with that bike. Now, the bike the burglar stole wasn’t an ordinary or an average two-wheeler bike. Featuring “8-ball” caps on the tire valves, an “8-ball” logo on the frame, and a rear wheel frame marked with a checkered black and white pattern made with a 2019 black Electra 3-speed bicycle, its valuation is somewhere at $1,300. It is nearly 1.07 lakh rupees making those belly rubs cost 1 lakh. The suspect, as described, is a white male wearing a blue and white hat, gray shirt, blue shorts, and orange athletic shoes.
