A woman from Utah took to social media to share a funny yet shocking incident where she accidentally swallowed her husband’s Apple AirPod after mistaking it for a vitamin pill. The unfortunate incident happened when 52-year-old Realtor Tanna Barker was out on a morning walk with her friend. She was having a conversation with a friend when she mistakenly popped her husband’s AirPod and swallowed it down with a drink.

“Halfway through my walk I decided to take my vitamins, so I put my vitamins in, took a drink, and was like, ‘Man, those are stuck.’ So I guzzled my water, said goodbye to Kathleen, and went to go get my AirPod and my pills were in my hand,” she said.

”I could feel it going down so slow…I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I just did that. I’ve got an AirPod inside me now,” she added.

When Realtor Tanna reached home and informed her husband about the embarrassing mishap, he asked her not to tell anyone about it. However, she decided to share the unfortunate incident on social media with her TikTok followers.

Mrs Barker reached out to numerous doctors and friends informing them about the incident and asking for guidance. They all recommended the same thing that she let the Apple AirPods pass through her system naturally.

“So I’m gonna go along with what they suggested. I don’t know if anybody has ever done that. It’s embarrassing. But I did it, and we’ll see what happens. I’m going to follow the advice of professionals. There’s a bonus, I still have my right AirPod,” Daily Mail reported Barker saying in the video.

One of them asked if I had swallowed both [AirPods,] and I said no. And he said, ‘Well, that’s good because it has the magnet in it and that could have caused an issue,” Mrs Barker said.

The video has gone viral with over 2.4 million views on TikTok.

She posted a follow-up video on Monday informing her TikTok followers that the AirPod had exited her system safely.

“One of the hashtags [on the original video] was #ThisTooShallPass. And it has. It has been such an amazing experience and such a wild ride, and I am so grateful that I have been able to protect my mindset,” she said in the video.
