This incident will make you think twice, as to whether your love for your pet is too much. In very new shocking circumstances, this woman had to stay three days in a hospital after her pet dog pooped on her face, at the time she was wide asleep.
The woman was forced to be hospitalised after her dog pooped on her face in her sleep. This woman’s name is Amanda Gommo who is 51 years old and lives in Bristol was having a quite peaceful, wide-open-mouth afternoon nap, it was at this time her chihuahua Belle came in to join her. The dog came, sat on her face and excreted a hell lot of diarrhoea that went into this woman’s mouth.
LADBible reported to Gommo as “I was having my afternoon nap with Belle like I always do when I suddenly felt something squirt in my mouth I rushed to the bathroom and my son was in the shower, so before I washed it out I had time to take a quick snap. It was disgusting, and I was hurling violently for hours after – I just couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth.”
Thereafter Amanda’s daughter took their dog Belle to the vet, and the vet said that the dog was suffering from a dirty stomach bug and was diagnosed with antibiotics.
After that day, Amanda also started suffering from the same symptoms. She dialled the emergency and paramedics then came to her house. She was in a lot of pain caused by bad cramps. Paramedics suggested her painkillers as a cure for stomach cramps and recommended she consume lots of water in a possibility to get any possible infection out of her body.
Even after paramedics’ suggestions, her condition constantly turned out to be much worse, 48 hours after the incident, Amanda’s cramps had spread all over her body.
After a close checkup by doctors, Amanda was said to be suffering from a gastrointestinal infection which made its passage by the way of Belle’s faeces into her mouth. The doctors kept her under close observation for about three days as the doctors diagnosed and rehydrated her with the help of electrolytes and glucose.
Amanda’s incident and her Crohn’s illness were first of their kind, for the doctors too. “From the moment I got ill to when I was put on the drip, I couldn’t eat a thing. The cramps got worse and worse until I could feel them all over my body – even in my legs. They sent an ambulance the second time, and I was so dehydrated from being sick and having diarrhoea that my kidneys had shrivelled to half their size.” Reported LADBible.
After three days when she was discharged, her discharge note quoted that she was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal infection all because her dog pooped in her mouth, a bizarre thing that even doctors had never seen before. Although she has forgiven Belle, this teaches and reminds us to be cautious of our sleeping positions.
