A woman from Argentina booked a hotel room with a sea-facing view for her Italian vacation. But she later found out that the view was just a poster!
Clarisa Murgia, an Argentinian woman planned to spend her Italian holiday in an idyllic luxury hotel room that offered a seaside view. She went on to book such a room from an online advertisement and paid extra, particularly for the view and the breakfast. But when she landed at the hotel, she found out that the ‘view’ was actually a photo! She went on to post about this incident on TikTok with a video that later went viral on other social media platforms as well.
Murgia expressed her disappointment on her post stating that she “got scammed”. When she ended up at the hotel for her vacation, she realized that it was as idyllic as she expected and her deceit peaked when she reached her room. It was the next-level scam when she had a reality check. She was expecting the view of a “marine vista” from her room’s deck as it was shown in the online advertisement. But the ‘view’ from her room was not actually the sea but a poster of the sea pasted on the building opposite to her room.
She was highly disappointed as she captioned her social media post calling it an “Expection versus Reality.” She even mentioned that no one had ever cheated her like this before. As the video went viral, Clarisa received a mixed reaction from the online audience. While some users sympathized with her experience, some even went on to call the entire incident “hilarious”. Certain creative users also went on to make sense out of it saying that the hotel wasn’t lying technically as she still got a seaside view!
