In a move toward women’s empowerment, Donald Trump signed orders to “keep men out of women’s sports” on day one of his presidency. After making a policy to “identify only two genders”, he took the bold step of banning transgender athletes from schools and the military to ensure the safety of women.

Trump has effectively deleted transgender people from his America

In his fight to “stop gender lunacy”, Trump hasn’t forgotten sports. A day prior to his swearing-in ceremony, President-elect Donald Trump addressed a rally in Washington with a bold promise of keeping men out pointing toward transgender athletes participating in women’s sports. He even supported his stand by pledging that he would “sign an executive order” on his first day of assuming office.

After the viral news of making an official policy to identify only two genders, Trump has now vowed to ban transgender athletes from sports to ensure fairness for women. He said that his presidency would put an end to child mutilation. Once he signs the orders, he will “get transgender out of the military and sports.” He even went on to add that he will keep transgenders out of elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools to make sure they don’t participate in women’s sports. Apparently, this has been inspired by the recent Olympic uproar.

Keep men out Trump vows to ban transgender athletes from women's sports

The newly elected president pledged that the US House would pass a bill to execute this ban stating “America can have only two genders” and he wants the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” since transgender athletes might be biologically superior affecting the female gender’s inclusivity. The Internet is in splits amidst these bold statements by the President-elect. People are wondering whether Trump will fire all transgender soldiers too.

What are your thoughts on this? Should men be kept out of women’s sports? Or does this intensify the ‘inclusivity’ debate in athletic competitions?
