Whether or not you agree that pets especially dogs are man’s best friend, I hope we can at least agree that they’re an endless source of heartwarming and wholesome moments. These loving and loyal creatures bring joy to their owners and everyone they meet. All it takes is a quirky head tilt or a single enthusiastic tail wag and we’re smiling like fools. The fact that these four-legged furry creatures can do that even on the most challenging days is tough to beat.

Forget about rolling over or playing dead this dog has a much more impressive trick up his sleeve. This man taught his black Labrador dog to dive in and catch lobsters from the ocean floor. Schulze, the co-founder of Devoted to the Ocean posted a video of his black lab dog, Lila on YouTube, where it has been viewed nearly 7,000 times.

The eight-minute video, titled, “How to Train Your Dog to Catch a Lobster,” shows Schulze first training his black lab in a backyard pool by holding a toy underwater for her to retrieve.

At the end of the video, we can see Lila jumping off a boat and diving into the ocean and then coming back with a lobster in her mouth. Schulze wrote on YouTube that he was happy to train Lila to catch lobsters from the oceans instead of just toys after being out in the open water.

Lila will patiently wait for his owner to give her instructions to jump into the water. After she gets the instructions the black lab dives down into the clear blue water and catches a lobster from the ocean floor.
