Peace is rare these days! Imagine you go for a peaceful yoga session by the beach but the universe has other plans. This is exactly what happened to this Russian actress who had gone to practice yoga at her favorite beach but was swept away by a giant wave. The police soon revealed that the actress died in this incident at the tourist spot.
Kamilla Belyatskaya, a 24-year-old Russian actress, was on vacation in Thailand with her boyfriend when she decided to visit Koh Samui Island to get engrossed in yoga and meditation by the beach. Kamilla had arrived at the tourist spot in a red car and was seen walking down the area toward the Lad Ko Viewpoint with a yoga mat. This evidence was obtained from CCTV footage after the fateful incident of her death by drowning in a giant wave.
As per her past posts on her social media handle, this place was Kamilla’s favorite spot and she had even expressed her deep love for the exact spot to her followers. She would call it “home” and “the best place on Earth”. But the same place took away her life when she was trying to indulge in some peaceful activity for her mind, body, and soul. Apparently, the incident location isn’t a swimming pool but a scenery viewpoint. Though Kamilla was not interacting with water during her visit, she might have become a victim of the unexpected wave surge that swept her away.
A CCTV video has gone viral on the Internet capturing the final moments of the actress before the incident. The widely shared video clip shows how she was engrossed in her meditation when the giant wave unexpectedly pulled her into the sea. It has been reported that the weather conditions were already hazardous and jet ski operators had removed their vehicles from the beach. Perhaps, Kamilla was unaware of these details.
After she was hit by the wave, a bystander attempted to rescue her but in vain because of the high-risk situation in the sea. The rescue team arrived at the spot almost 15 minutes after the victim was swept away. When they arrived, the Russian actress had disappeared in an unsettling manner, and her yoga mat was seen floating on turbulent waters. The team still attempted to locate her but the intense conditions hindered their efforts, and they were unable to save her.
In her last post before the tragic accident, Ms. Belyatskaya had posted on her social media about Koh Samui saying, “Thank you, the universe, for me being here right now. I’m very happy. I’m happy.”
