Fox News founder, Rupert Murdoch, the media magnate got married for the fifth time at the age of 93! This time, he has wedded a woman who is a quarter century younger than him!
This June, the media mogul married 67-year-old Elena Zhukova who is a retired molecular biologist. The wedding happened at ‘Moraga’ which is Murdoch’s California vineyard and estate. It was celebrated by the media publishing their wedding photographs in newspapers.
Rupert Murdoch is an Australia-born media tycoon and an ex-chairman of The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and other influential outlets. He has a vast media empire and experience of over seven decades. Last year, Murdoch stepped down as the chairman handing over his global empire to his son Lachlan. Since then, he has been enjoying his status as an emeritus.
The personal life of Rupert Murdoch has been a roller coaster ride with him being married 4 times before this! His first marriage was in 1956 with Patricia Booker whom he divorced after over a decade. Being married to Anna Maria Torv and then Wendi Deng for many years, he was most recently married to Jerry Hall who was his 4th wife. Murdoch has 6 children from all these marriages and was engaged to Ann Lesley Smith after divorcing Jerry Hall in 2022. However, the engagement was called after 1 month later.
Apparently, Murdoch met Zhukova through his 3rd wife Wendi Deng and the couple began dating last year. Zhukova, the retired marine biologist, has immigrated to the USA from Russia and was previously married to Alexander Zhukov. Her daughter, Dasha Zhukova was formerly married to a Russian businessman and oligarch.
Murdoch’s longest marriage till now has been with his second wife Anna Maria Torv. It lasted for over 3 decades before they got divorced in 1999. His family ‘tree’ has a network of approximately $20 billion.
We hope this is Murdoch’s last marriage considering his age but his wedding history has a different story to tell!
