I have known love from the day I have known you. I love you more than you’ll ever know, I love you more than I can ever show. You were the missing piece of the jigsaw of my life and ever since I have found you the puzzle is complete. You give me butterflies in my stomach and make me feel all those things that the finest forms of art talk about when describing love. I feel alive when I’m around you, without you I am empty. Whether it was my panic attacks right in the middle of the night or waking me up early for a test. You have always been there for me. Through thick and thin, you have been my constant. In the ups and downs of life, you have been my sole companion. I was stronger only because I knew that you are behind me, your presence made a world of difference. My rock and my anchor, a support that is always present.
2. You make me laugh
You always know how to make me laugh. With your goofy antics, you can turn my frown upside down. You don’t care about anything and will go to any heights just to put a smile on my face. Even if people around you begin to think that you are crazy! You go out of your way only to fill my life with joy. How can you bring me back from the brink of tears? Make me laugh when I am about to cry? You sure must be Magic.
3. You say the right things
Whether it is in the middle of a bad day, or after a fight, you always have the right words. The things you say to me can take the severest of pains away. Your words are like a balm that heal me on a spiritual level. Your soothing voice saying the words that I craved to hear before I met you. When I feel discouraged, like I don’t have strength, you fill me up with confidence.
4. You make compromises
Relationships are not easy. They take a lot of sacrifice and commitment, and you go all the way to meet my littlest of demands even if it means giving up on your own. Whether it is choosing my silly show over your important game, you make the little compromises that go a long way.
5. You are selfless
You make me a priority even above yourself! I love you more than anything for being able to do that. Being selfless takes courage and you allow yourself to get this vulnerable only for my sake. Therefore, I yearn to learn that selfless kind of love that you display. I wish I could think of you all the time like you think of me.

Day in and day out, you find ways to make me a better person. You keep me motivated and make me realise that there is always room for improvement. Settling for something less is never an option, you ensure that I work harder every single day. You motivate me to live healthy, read a good book, enjoy a nice movie. You make my day fruitful, which I would have otherwise wasted lying in the bed.
7. You are caring
Needless to say, your greatest quality lies in how caring you are. From remembering little details about my life to making sure you order my mother’s birthday cake when I have forgotten. Thus, every little thing you do exudes your care and affection. It makes me realise how blessed I am to have you. Even if we have our lover’s tiff, I realise that you care even when you may be angry. I love you more than your anger and more than my ego.
8. You are kind
The greatest virtue of any person lies in how kind they are. You are kind and compassionate. Not only towards me but also towards every living being. Hence, you can never be the person capable of hurting anybody. I feel safer around you. Your kindness and good deeds make me realise how you are singularly changing the world. Therefore, making it a wonderful place.

Of course, you tell me the white lies about how my new dress doesn’t make me look fat. Or how my silly writings are touching and can move readers. That is different. But other than those little white lies, you have always been honest with me. The sheer sincerity with which you say something to me is what takes my breath away. You are honest even on days it may seem brutal. But that is exactly what I appreciate, your honesty that pushes me to be better.
10. You love me the best
On days when I feel unloved, or on days when I don’t deserve your love, you still hold me in your arms and say the magic words. I don’t know how you can love so tirelessly. I find it hard to understand how an imperfect person like me deserves such a perfect kind of love. Today, I love you more than yesterday and tomorrow, I love you more than today. As we pass through the hot fire that is meant to bring out the purity of gold. Our love flourishes in a similar manner.
Time and again I will repeat myself, you saved me. I know now that I was just wasting away before you walked into my life.
