Since last a few days, Mumbai is facing heavy rains. Due to the severity of rains, many areas of Mumbai are witnessing waterlogging. Rains are beautiful, but because of people’s neglect of nature, we often face issues.

The same goes in the case of rain. For the entire year, we dump garbage and other rubbish in the water bodies. During rain, the same water bodies i.e. Sea and River, return all of this waste to us. (Along with interest.) The beaches of Mumbai are facing the same challenge right now during heavy rains.

What is Randeep Hooda doing at Versova Beach?




Celebrity Bollywood Actor, Randeep Hooda came forward to clean the Versova Beach. He often comes up for volunteering and showing his love towards Mumbai. This time Hooda showed up in a cleanliness drive at Versova Beach.

Speaking about this initiative, Hooda shared the pictures on his Instagram. The caption reads,

This is the backyard of humanity and it’s not pretty..being a #Safaikarmachari (cleaning worker) to clean my backyard helping the tireless #frontlineworkers in the #MumbaiRains maintaining #SocialDistancing #masks let’s start respecting #MotherNature what is your backyard?




While Mumbai is worst-hit with COVID19 Pandemic, Hooda ensured that Social Distancing is maintained while doing this cleanliness drive. All the people who participated in the cleanliness drive, they were having masks and gloves.

These are the times when we try to heal our nature. All the rubbish in the seas and oceans kills a lot of aquatic animals. By cleaning, we are not just maintaining the hygiene, we’re also saving lives!
