Pakistan Declares Holiday On Holi Diwali And Easter

Number of times Pakistan has been criticized for attacking the religious minority in their country, Pakistan’s National Assembly has finally accepted a resolution to declare holiday for religious minority community in Pakistan on Holi, Diwali and Easter.

Their is 2% hindus population in Pakistan and around 1.6% christians. They will be given closed holiday, this means it is not mandatory, but people from minority religion can take holiday on their religious festivals.

The head of Pakistan Hindu Council Dr Rakesh Kumar had accepted the resolution on Tuesday and called it a positive step Since Festivals like Muharram and Eid are declared as holiday in US and India. “Pakistan already has one of the highest rates of public holidays compared to the rest of the world.”
