OMG! Man Installs Shower on Scooter to Beat the Heat, Internet Reacts

These days, the northern part of India including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan, is experiencing intense heat waves with temperatures soaring over 40°C. People are using unique approaches to combat the heat and cool down. Amidst this scenario, a video from Rajasthan’s Jodhpur recently went viral on the Internet. In the clip, a man was seen riding his scooter while enjoying a cold shower through the busy streets of the city! He had installed a makeshift ‘mini shower’ on his Honda Activa attached to a 20-litre water container. the water from the shower continuously sprinkled on his head while he was riding the scooter in the scorching weather.

The ‘jugaad‘ by this man instantly gained crazy attention on the social media platform as the video amassed over 24 million views, 1 million shares, and nearly 1 million likes! While some people on the Internet found it funny and unique, others thought of it as bizarre and borderline unsafe. The video also captured the astonishment of his fellow passersby on other motorbikes looking at him in amusement.

People went on to comment several reactions on the short clip posted on Instagram. While some made sarcastic and funny comments like ‘it happens only in India’ and ‘this technique should not go out of India’, others even called him ‘a legend’ and the technique ‘too good’! Some smarties even expressed their concern for safety as ‘the rider is not wearing a helmet’.

While the idea is unique and fun, it isn’t a practical solution. The ‘scooter shower’ may provide a temporary relief but the rising temperatures and heat waves are a potential danger for the coming years. The only way to stay safe from the scorching sun and issues like heat strokes is to avoid traveling under direct sunlight and during peak heatwave hours.
