As per the reports of BMC, Andheri East is having 2489 active corona cases. While the total number of cases is around 5097. Whereas, conditions are a little lower on Andheri West where the total number of cases is 4252 with 1728 active cases.

In Andheri and nearby areas such as Vile Parle and Jogeshwari, the COVID19 growth rate stands at 1.8% The doubling rate of cases in these regions is 38 days. While for the entire Mumbai, the doubling rate of cases in 42 days.

Due to the same reason, the number of containment zones in Andheri and nearby areas is 41. Apart from that, there are 569 localities that are completely sealed.




Out of all the tests in Mumbai, 72,287 are done in Andheri. Maharashtra is currently the leading state in the number of COVID19 cases. There are a total of 1,59,133 cases in the state. From them, 67,615 are active cases, whereas 7,273 people have lost their life to Corona.
