The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is known for it’s digitalized admission procedure all over the state of Gujarat. However, this Sunday it’s official website, http://www.msubaroda.ac.in#sthash.6WluOq84.dpuf got hacked by a group of hackers claiming to be Pakistani miscreants. The webpage displayed a green-lettered menacing message against a black background that read, “Struck by Mr Anonymous; Hacked by Indian Black Hats; We come r00tinG Your b0x3s… reason of attacking Indian site is mention in deface… Dear Skids of India Here we come to Stemp your cyber space… And for pay back of hacking pak Gov webs… Stop Touching Pakistani Servers Or Else Expect us in Indian Servers… Never Forget We are Those who Hacked CBI Website Indian Railways Website and we can do it again …so be aware; We are TeaM Death Adders Crew.” It ended with the phrase ‘Pakistan zindabad’.

Apurva Shah, who is the director of the computer sector of MSU was reported saying that the website was shut down right after the complaint was received and there has been no data loss or alteration as such.

In this busy season of new admissions being registered online, the complaint was quickly filed and the further procedure started immediately. The inappropriate content has now been taken down and the website revived with alterations in it’s security settings to avoid further problems.
