We had all heard that AI was taking over our jobs but it’s taking over baths too! Japan has introduced a brand new AI ‘Human Washing Machine’ which gives you a 15 minute shower and dry experience.
Everyone wants to experience royal treatment where you don’t even have to take a bath by yourself. Japan has made it possible now with it’s invention. Japanese engineers from the Science Co., a showerhead company have developed an AI powered human washing machine called the Mirai ningen Sentakuki, which translates to “Human Washing Machine of the Future”. It analyses the body and then customizes the wash and dry mechanism.
Displaying the washing machine at the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 is the company’s goal. Thousands of guests will be able to try it out on themselves.
How does it work?
- You need to sit in a transparent pod that is filled with warm water partially.
- High-speed water jets with microscopic air bubbles will clean and scrub your body.
- The biometric data customizes the system by analyzing your body first, then adjusting the water’s temperature and force.
One of the features of this washing machine is that it displays serene visuals to ease you. So basically it leaves you with a clean and fresh mind and body, that too just within 15 minutes. Saving up so much of your time on a necessary routine of your day.
50 years ago, the Sanyo Electric Co., now known as the Panasonic Holdings Corp., invented the first built human washing machine and displayed it at the Japan World Exposition. In order to improve circulation, the first washing machine featured plastic-made massaging balls. This human washing machine never made it to the market but the new machine has grabbed everyone’s attention.
A home-use version is currently in development, though pricing and a release date have yet to be announced. Still no word on how much it’ll cost, and you can’t get your hands on one anyway.
