A quite angry air hostess was witnessed replying to a passenger who was fighting with her regarding food choices on an IndiGo flight. The video portrays the air hostess saying the passenger to treat her well, and giving it back by saying “I am not your servant.”

The incident took place on IndiGo’s Istanbul-Delhi flight. In the video, we can witness a flight attendant and a passenger engaged in a violent argument with each other. It looks like, it seems that he had a problem over a food choice, with the attendant saying a man that due to his “finger-pointing” attitude, her crew is “crying”.

“You are pointing fingers at me and yelling at me. My crew is crying because of you. Please try to understand, there is a cart and counted meals are uplifted (on the plane). We can only serve what your boarding,” she is witnessed saying in the video itself.

The man is taken aback and inquires about why she is “yelling” at him. To which the attendant replied, “Because you are yelling at us,”.

Additionally, she says to the passenger that he “cannot talk to the crew like that”. “I am peacefully listening to you with all due respect, but you have to respect the crew as well,” said the air hostess. In the further part of the video, the man arrogantly says to the air hostess to “shut up” and she comes back with “you shut up”.

“I am an employee, I am not your servant,” the flight attendant concluded.

Jet Airways CEO Sanjiv Kapoor answered the video replying that people should treat and behave with the crew like humans. “As I had said earlier, the crew are human too. It must have taken a lot to get her to breaking point. Over the years I have seen crew slapped and abused on board flights, called “servant” and worse. Hope she is fine despite the pressure she must be under,” according to him.

As per the media, IndiGo acknowledged that they are familiar with the matter and are investigating it. The airline also stated that it is their continuous efforts to supply a humble and trouble-free experience to their passengers. “We are looking into the incident and would like to assure you that customers’ comfort has always been our top priority,” it reported.

Many Twitter users also showed their support for the air hostess and thought that such an attitude should not be permitted. A netizen says, “I support the Crew and because one is flying in that airline doesn’t mean that should shout and yell at crew members, the lady is seating on the floor and talking to that person in a calm manner which is visible in the clip but the passenger is not seen and his action too.”

“It takes guts to raise a voice for the right thing. Hats off to the crew,” commented another user.
