The app primarily offers a ‘collaboration’ feature where share notes with others for looped conversations. But technology has always been used by humans for their undue advantage. A trend has been noticed on social media where unfaithful partners are using this collaboration feature on the iPhone Notes app to discreetly chat in real-time and keep these private conversations away from their partners’ eyes.
While the feature has been created for usefulness, like brainstorming ideas or planning secret activities, the trend is gaining social media attention after platforms like TikTok found how cheaters are misusing this feature. Some are discovering their partners’ infidelity via these shared notes. Private investigators are also pointing out the potential disadvantage of this trending iPhone “hack” that cheating partners are obsessed with.
To use the feature, all you need to do is create a Note and invite a contact to join the conversation using the ‘Collaborate’ feature. That’s it. Now, you don’t even need to hit ‘send’ at every message that you type. Plus, it does not even have any chat history, which prevents suspicion. Once the conversation is completed, just stop sharing the note or delete it altogether, and boom! You have instantly covered your dark secrets with no evidence left whatsoever. Not even on iCloud!
While the humble Notes app has long been used to create grocery lists and scribble or journal your thoughts, now people are opting for it to communicate secretly with others without their partner knowing.
