Imagine going on a well-planned vacation and boarding a flight only to be kicked out because you are wearing a strapless romper or a crop top or because you forgot to layer concealer on your tattoo. What a disaster! But that’s exactly what some of the passengers of Spirit Airlines are about to go through. Don’t believe us? Here’s the tea.
Reportedly, Spirit Airlines has updated their ‘contract of carriage’ bringing in certain noteworthy modifications in their dress code policies. Passengers’ fashion choices have always been a problem for the Airlines and this time they have gone above and beyond adding certain ‘stricter’ rules. Passengers flying Spirit Airlines might now have to ditch their crop tops and see-through dresses as the contract deems them ‘lewd’ and inadequate. The policy mentions that you would not be allowed on the flight if you are “inadequately clothed” or wearing “see-through clothing, not adequately covered, exposed br***ts, butt**ks or other private parts.”
Besides, the updated contract also sheds light on footwear needs and body art restrictions. You “may be asked to leave the flight” if your tattoos or body art seems “lewd, obscene, or offensive in nature”, as described in the contract. The airline has even banned barefoot passengers quite some time back.
So, before you leave home for your next Spirit Airlines flight, make sure you have some extra layers on and conceal your tattoos. Follow the ‘dress code’ or you might be kicked out!
