As a customer, you can reach any of the SBI PoS Locations in the country with a valid KYC document along with a vehicle registration or RC copy along with the originals for the verification process.

Also, as a customer, you can open your account in two categories. And these categories are the:

  • Limited KYC holder’s account: This type of SBI FASTag account cannot have more than Rs.10,000 in their FASTag Prepaid account at any given point of time. Also, the monthly reload limit is set to Rs.10,000.
  • Full KYC holders account: With a Full KYC holders account, you can have up to Rs.1 Lakh in your FASTag prepaid account. Also, there is no monthly reload cap on this account.

The documents which are required for the limited KYC holder’s account are the RC copy of the vehicle, ID and address proof, photo of the customer.

For full KYC holders account, you will need documents like RC of the vehicle, ID and address proof, photo of the customer. Also, make sure to carry all the originals for verification purposes.

Also, every time a balance is deducted from your SBI FASTag account, you will receive an SMS alert on your registered phone number.

Charges for buying FASTag from SBI for 4-wheelers

SBI also charges an insurance fee of Rs. 100 across all the categories. Apart from the bank charges, a minimum-security amount is also required in the vehicle category. Also, this security amount is refundable at the time of the cancellation of RFID Tag. Along with that, you will also need a minimum balance.

You can buy SBI FASTag for Rs.400. And this cost contains an insurance fee of Rs.100, Rs.200 is the security deposit. And final Rs.100 is the joining fee.

How to buy HDFC FASTag online?

  • At first, log on to the HDFC bank FASTag portal.
  • Then select the option to log in.
  • Next, log in to your account.
  • After that, you will need to fill in your details and make the payment.
  • And the card will get delivered to your doorstep.

You Can buy an HDFC FASTag for just Rs.400. And HDFC bank also have the same fee structure as the SBI.

  • At first, visit icicibank.com/fastag
  • Then click on the Apply Now button.
  • Over here, you will need to fill your application details and upload the required documents.
  • Once done, you will receive your FASTag at your doorstep.

Documents required to purchase FASTag?

To purchase a FASTag, you will need to submit a copy of the registration certification of your vehicle or RC. Along with that, you have to provide a passport size photograph of yours. Plus, you will need to submit KYC documents as per the category of the vehicle owner.

Talking about the KYC documents, you can submit a PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID/Aadhaar Card. FASTag will be issued following the verification of the original documents.
