‘Heavy-Duty Love’ gets literal!
Indian weddings are known for their unique traditions and grand celebrations. But this UP family took the ‘grand’ and ‘unique’ elements to the next level. Forget Limos and BMWs, they chose a ‘different’ way to welcome the groom and send off the bride whilst making the wedding a memorable affair. Where families sought creative options from horses to helicopters, this Jhansi family organized their daughter’s bidaai ceremony by opting for around a dozen JCBs joining the wedding procession. Here’s what happened.
People traditionally use luxury cars for their wedding processions and in this case too, Karishma, the bride, was ready to leave for her new home in an SUV after the wedding festivities. But the groom, Rahul’s family had other plans. As the wedding procession was going on, a group of bulldozers joined the celebration. The family and relatives were initially fearful as JCBs in UP are symbolic of the demolition of illegal properties. But the shock turned into excited laughs when the guests realized that the heavy-duty machines were part of Rahul’s grand entry and Karishma’s memorable farewell.
As the “Bulldozer Wedding” went viral on social media, Rahul’s uncle was seen proudly explaining what inspired the groom’s family to choose this unconventional bidaai. He mentioned that “by god’s grace, the family owns some JCBs and when everyone chooses something between bullock-carts and helicopters for their bride’s send-off, they thought of doing something different”. Rahul was quite thrilled by the idea as he knew how popular bulldozers are among the residents of UP. Even Karishma was seen embracing the decision and enjoying an unusual farewell.
As the onlookers were stunned and started shooting videos of the wedding procession, the clips of the Bulldozer Bidaai went viral on social media within no time. The unique send-off of the bride in flower-adorned JCBs left netizens in shock. It was unbelievable for users on the Internet that the family had swapped luxury cars with something so bizarre, perhaps just for virality. After becoming a social media sensation, the unique ceremony has become unforgettable for everyone – the family, the residents of Jhansi, and even the Internet.
