Immediately after officially acquiring Twitter, Musk ordered a private jet: a Gulfstream G700, one of the flagship planes of the company, as per the Mint. The delivery of the uber-luxurious private jet is supposedly about to happen around 2023.
The recent Twitter CEO is already an owner of four private Gulfstream jets, per Zee News. All his private planes are registered to Falcon Landing, an LLC connected to SpaceX and Tesla. The G700 has costly interiors considering five living areas, two restrooms and 20 oval windows. Decked up with two Rolls-Royce engines, the G700 has a range of up to 7,500 nautical miles and additionally provides a dual head-up presentation for safe landings and its built-in Wi-Fi system.
This private jet can fly at a height of about 51,000 feet and provides a space of up to 19 people. Musk’s Gulfstream G700 is worth a mind-boggling $78 million (Rs 640 crore approx), according to Mint and is supposed to sell off his current jet, the G650ER.
Musk frequently uses his private plane for travelling. Back in the year 2018, he flew more than 150,000 miles on his G650ER, according to Washington Post. Additionally, according to them, the billionaire flew 8,304 miles with the G650ER in his first week as the owner of Twitter. As per TOI, the Gulfstream G650ER is worth $66.5 million (Rs 509 crore approx).
