Humans walked so crocodiles could… drown? First, we used clickbait to lure people in with fake drama, but now crocodiles are faking their deaths to reel in dinner. Evolution is watching reality TV.
A mind-blowing video of a crocodile doing the dead fish cosplay while paddling its limbs as if it were waving towards someone. This incident occurred in the Barito River, Indonesia.

Are crocodiles pretending to drown to bait and hunt humans? Here's the truth

A crocodile was seen flapping its tiny T-Rex arms like it’s auditioning for a soap opera. This video spiralled all over the internet with about 50 million views. Is this the cleverest crocodile con caught on tape or just a scaly slip-up gone viral? Let us delve into theories that the experts have penned down. People say it might be luring humans into the water as a likely target.

Performance Art or Pre-Lunch Setup?

Experts shot down the false claims about the crocodile trying to lure humans. They believe that crocodiles are sophisticated hunters and are dangerous reptiles. They also added that an animal like him, so strong with ferocious jaws, teeth, and an armored tail, doesn’t feel the need to put on a pity show just for a snack. Instead, they lie camouflaged in the water until they spot the prey. Later, they unexpectedly pounce on the prey.

The crocodile foundation stepped in to draw attention that run-ins with the crocodiles should be avoided. There have been hundreds of crocodile attacks disclosed globally.

One Zoologist described the claim as “complete creative journalism with no factual basis.” According to him, the crocodile’s unusual position might have been less about trickery and more about a tail stuck somewhere it shouldn’t be. Other experts stated that the crocodiles are far too strong to play such tactics and go to such extremes to suppress hunger.

As always, humans saw a floating crocodile and assumed the worst, that it was a diabolical mastermind faking death to lure prey. Meanwhile, the poor reptile might’ve just pulled a muscle. But why let logic in when we can panic first and ask questions later? Classic Human behaviour speaks in dramatic, snack-sized, and overthinking font.

Was it a genius or just glitching? Let us know before it gets hungry.
