Every other day, some ‘creative’ character on the Internet will leave you questioning, “How dumb can a person be?” Just for some views and likes on social media, this man performed a dangerous stunt of performing push-ups on a plane engine as he flexed his physique. Not only did the angry airline thrash him for his act but even the Internet reacted otherwise as netizens were more upset than balled over.

Bodybuilder Jumps Into Moving Plane Engine To Do Pushups, Sydney Airport Probes Stunt

Bodybuilder and fitness influencer Preslie Ginoski was recently in the limelight on social media after receiving backlash over his viral video on TikTok. The 23-year-old posted a video of himself performing push-ups and flexing his fitness in front of a moving plane engine standing close to the rotating propellers behind his back. Though recorded last year, the clip garnered the attention of millions after it was posted recently. The footage captures Ginoski jumping onto the moving airplane engine and then doing a few push-ups followed by showing off his muscles. The bodybuilder performed the dangerous stunt when the plane was parked in the bay. Though it wasn’t running, it was still windmilling.

Man defends dangerous stunt of doing push-ups on plane engine as internet asks how ‘dumb can a person be’

Apparently, Preslie Ginoski recorded the questionable video while he was working at the Sydney Airport. But now when he posted the clip online, he has already left the role. To this incident, the airport authorities have released a statement highlighting their ‘zero-tolerance policy’ after being upset over the act. An airport representative was noted saying, “(this is) unsafe behavior on the airfield, and we take all reports of potential safety breaches extremely seriously.”

The Internet was equally unimpressed with the ‘stunt’. Despite the virality of the clip, netizens were left upset and irked at the ‘carelessness’ of the fitness influencer just to gain a few views and likes on social media. Some called it a ‘stupid move’ as he received a truckload of online backlash. The comment section was filled with people saying the youth is ‘addicted to attention’ these days. However, following the widespread criticism, Ginoski defended his actions saying he just wanted to get a ‘laugh’ and nothing was serious about the incident. He claimed that he “took necessary safety precautions before recording the video”, and also ensured that “everything was totally safe beforehand.

Should social media tolerate such acts aimed at ‘humor’ or can they cause serious life threats when someone tries to imitate these actions? What are your opinions about this?
