There is no place cooler than the Marine Drive to chill and have a good time in Mumbai. Thousands of people flock there day and night to feel the fresh sea breeze on their face. There is no experience better than just lazing around on the beach and having the famous bhel from the nearby Chowpaty beach. Now there is great news for Mumbaikars, Presenting You Marine Drive 2.0, with a modern and new look, Mumbai gets its second marine drive almost twice its current length on the eastern seafront. Yayy!

The Mumbai Port Trust is going to revamp the entire eastern seaboard and one of the biggest changes is the addition of a Marine Drive between Mazagaon Docks and Wadala.  The new length of this will be 7 kms which is almost double the length of the existing marine drive. Mumbai Port Trust will start inviting tenders in one year and the construction will be completed in the next 5-6 years.

In other news, there are plans to connect Elephanta Caves with a ropeway from Haji Bunder. They also want to connect Ferry Wharf to Navi Mumbai and Alibaug through water transport. All government offices are going to be brought under one roof in this developmental plan. Most of the government offices which are scattered all across the city will be brought together in East Mumbai.

So you will see that the eastern part of Mumbai will become the cooler section of Mumbai in the next 10 years!
