According to Instagram the new logo reflects how the app has changed. Instagram has ditched the old popular logo and also redesigned the app with it’s background and menu full of black and white colour.

Instagram said the old logo was quite popular and instantly recognisable but it has been radically changed. Instagram said the new logo reflects it’s journey from just a startup to Facebook buying it for $ 1 billion 4 years ago.  Instagram was first called Burbn when it was initially launched and it was largely popular for it’s effects and photo filters.
