Rajkot is a fast developing city in Gujarat. Rajkot was the capital city of Saurashtra during 1948-1956 and is the fourth largest city in Gujarat. Most importantly Rajkot was the home-town of Mahatma Gandhi. It also had the headquarters of the British Rulers and hence the city has sites and buildings that hold testimony to the colonial time.

Kaba Gandhi No Delo, now known as Gandhi Smirti, is the place where Gandhiji spent his early years in Rajkot. It is now converted in a museum which consists of photographs, objects and the belongings of  Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi studied in this school during the time his father was working in Rajkot. The name of the school is not converted into Mohandas Gandhi High School. This is the most visited tourist place in Rajkot.

This Dam is situated near the Aji river and is a great tourist place. It has a beautiful garden near it where you can hang out with your family eating sandwiches and watching the view of the river. Theres a fish pond too and you can feed the fish too, there are vendors that sell fish food. You should plan a whole day picnic and decide outdoor games whilst you are there.
